What is MERKAT?

Let us introduce ourselves

MERKAT is a new contemporary SPANISH restaurant with a casual dining concept in Danang, Vietnam. It is run by Spanish people, which are working for offer you an experience 100% Spanish with the most authentic and real food of their country.

You will find a menu full of delicious and varied TAPAS, created always with fresh products and the knowledge of Daniel, Head Chef and owner, with more than 15 years of experience in the best kitchens around the world.

MERKAT, it means MARKET in the valencian dialect, because the most important thing in our restaurant is to offer you the best products from the local market, to ensure freshness and high quality product.

What is TAPA?

TAPA is a small dish perfect for sharing!!

And TAPEO, is the funniest way for lunch and dinner!!

You can choose one or two tapas per person (It depends on how hungry you’re!) and we will put it in the middle of the table as soon as they are ready!!

You will find from “IBERICO HAM”, to the traditional “PAELLA”, without forgetting the classic “CROQUETAS” or “GAMBAS AL AJILLO”!!

We went there to give a try to which looks to be the only authentic Spanish restaurant in Danang and it was spectacular! Real Spanish food with real Spanish flavours. Wonderful presentations of the dishes and always a nice touch for all of them. The managing couple couldn’t be more attentive and friendly. Totally recommended and will return soon for sure

With more than 15 years experience in the best kitchens around the world, Chef Daniel Moreno decides to open his first restaurant by himself in 2015. From his passion and knowledge was born MERKAT, a casual dining restaurant with a unique concept in town: fresh products and the most modern cooking techniques, mixed with authentic spanish flavor, offers to the customer the real Spanish "Tapeo" Experience, 10.000 km far away of that country.
